Meet Hayley

Hayley McCraw, MA, LCMHCA

**Now Accepting New Clients!**

Hayley is an eclectic counselor who tailors their approach to each individual’s unique needs, experiences, and identities. She works with individuals ages 16+ from a wide variety of backgrounds, and supports people with concerns such as intrusive thoughts, low mood, stress,

past adverse experiences, life transitions, relationship challenges, burnout, and identity exploration. Hayley strives to create an open, supportive atmosphere where you feel welcome to show up as you are.

In addition to an MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Hayley received a Certificate in Expressive Arts Therapy and completed a Body-Centered Therapy concentration through Appalachian State University. She has advanced training in Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), the gold standard for working with OCD.

In session, their approach focuses on building self-understanding, accepting difficult realities, and empowering you to take meaningful action. She facilitates exploration of internalized messages and beliefs, helping you unpack those that no longer align with your values or

wellbeing. Their work also considers how systems, environments, and lived experiences contribute to distress, recognizing that many mental health challenges are understandable human responses rather than personal failings.

Hayley’s work is grounded in the understanding that mental health and the physical body are interconnected. She also offers the integration of creative practices at your comfort level, such as drawing, writing, movement, music, or other forms of self-expression, to support insight,

regulation, and emotional expression.

Outside of work, Hayley enjoys spending time outdoors, whether relaxing on their back deck or camping in the mountains. She is a big fan of live music and enjoys supporting local artists and venues. When she’s not out and about, she relishes cozy nights playing The Sims, cuddling her

cats, or planning future travels with her spouse.
