** Now Accepting New Clients**
Allison is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC) who works with clients across the lifespan (ages 8 & up). She provides therapy for those who are seeking help with concerns related to anxiety, depression, self-esteem, relationships, communication strategies, life transitions, and perimenopausal challenges.
She believes that every person has unique strengths and holds the capacity for growth, healing, and resilience. Allison helps clients navigate life while creating a nurturing space where they can feel comfortable being themselves, exploring challenges, and feeling safe. When we feel safe, we can root down to rise.
Her approach to therapy is meeting clients where they are; therapy doesn’t have a one-size-fits-all approach. Come as you are. Allison has been honored to walk along with her clients in their mental health journeys. She provides a safe space for clients to work on hard things while supporting them in a gentle and non-judgmental way, interjecting humor when appropriate. She strives for sessions to be collaborative and for clients to feel heard and validated.
Allison helps clients navigate life while empowering them to develop coping skills from their strengths within. Working from a holistic, integrative perspective, Allison pulls from person-centered and strength-based approaches as well as techniques from cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and mindfulness (all evidence-based).
When she isn’t therapizing, Allison enjoys spending time with friends and traveling to see family, working out and getting outdoors, trying to get through (and adding to) her to-be-read stack, and the endless job of trying to keep her plants alive. She and her partner also find joy in taking their two rescue dogs on adventures.
